PBA President Responds To Ice-T's "Disrespectful" Arrest Rant, "Real Police Officers Enforce Real Laws"

Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch has stepped forward to address Ice-T's Twitter rant after he was arrested in New York City on a driving violation earlier this week .

Lynch defended the cop's decision to arrest Ice-T for not wearing a seatbelt.

PBA President Patrick Lynch yesterday blasted rapper-turned-actor Ice-T, who plays Detective Fin Tutuola on TV's "Law & Order: SVU," for his expletive-laced tirade at a cop who arrested him outside the Lincoln Tunnel for allegedly driving with a suspended license. "[Ice-T] may play a police officer on TV, but his disdain for law enforcement is well-documented," Lynch said. "Real police officers enforce real laws that exist to keep everyone safe, even a disrespectful, former rap performer-turned-actor, whether he likes it or not."

Following his arrest, Ice name dropped the officer responsible for taking him in.

"Some punk b*tch rookie cop named Fisher #10026 Made the arrest of his bullsh*t career today. Arresting the Notorious Ice T for no seatbelt.."

"Out in 20 min. Come on son! #FLTG."

"He said "I know who you are and I don't give a f*ck!" That was right after I called him a punk b*tch.. Then they questioned me about FLTG."

"Honestly, The fact that it made national news in 10min. Raises the question... How petty is our news today? What about the War and the Gulf?"

The rapper's wife/model Coco also confirmed the arrest via Twitter.

"Yes,Ice was arrested this morning but we don't know what the hell for! He's been released..We got pulled over for not wearing seatbelts."

"I believe when the cop saw Ice he immediately had a hard-on for him & he wanted 2 take him in for something, anything! He was released already"

Details on Ice's arrest were made public early Tuesday (July 20) morning.

Ice was allegedly driving on a suspended license, pulled over for driving without a seat belt and taken into custody. Ice tweeted a while ago that he and Coco were taking their dog to the vet. Spartacus was having knee surgery. We're told Ice was processed at the 10th Precinct in Chelsea and released.
