G.O.O.D. Music's Kid Cudi reportedly addressed his recent New York City arrest on destruction and drug charges.
Cudi promised he does use any drugs except marijuana.
Kid Cudi has broken his silence over a June 11 arrest after he was accused of breaking down a woman's door and possessing liquid cocaine. "I know you guys were hearing some s**t about me in the news," he said at a recent public appearance in Brooklyn. "I was wilding out and s**t, but I'm good now. I just smoke weed. I know n***as die when they 27. I'm 26 now, but I promise I'll live til I'm old as s**t."
The rapper's New York City arrest made headlines in early June.
TMZ has learned Kid Cudi was arrested in NYC today for felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance. Sources say Kid took a 24-year-old woman's phone and slammed it to smithereens. He also allegedly broke the door of her apartment off its hinges. Cops arrived and found a glass bottle of a controlled substance.
Last December, Cudi was mistakenly detained by police in Los Angeles, California.
Two police cars cordoned off the road while a further three pulled up next to Cudi's vehicles. Passengers in the cars were then ordered out with their hands on their heads, before being made to kneel on the ground where they were handcuffed. It was only then that Los Angeles Police Department officers realised it was a case of mistaken identity. After the passengers had been released, the officer in charge explained that a resident in the vicinity of the shop had mistakenly identified the party as being involved in a burglary, before allowing Cudi's entourage to go on its way.
Earlier this summer, Cudi talked about the upcoming release of his Man on the Moon II album.
"thanx for all the love on the new joint yall. i really appreciate it sincerely. this was a idea i had that me and Chip decided to do for fun. as of right now its not on anything, we just recorded it and put it out just for the f*ck of it. itll be awhile til MOTM2 (still gunnin' for Aug release or Sept), so i might keep releasing some fun joints here and there. ill keep you all posted faaashow."
Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon II is scheduled to drop Tuesday, September 14th.
