Drumma Boy Talks Working Young Jeezy's "TM103" Album
Producer Drumma Boy recently talked about working on Young Jeezy's upcoming Thug Motivation 103 album.
According to Drumma, he has yet to share an in-studio experience with Jeezy.
"With Jeezy, it's funny because when it comes to the music, I already know what he wants," Drumma said in an interview. "We've never actually worked in the studio together. The first time I ever heard 'Put On' was on the radio. [Laughs] Just the other day, he called me as soon as I woke up. First call of the day. He was like, 'Where you at? I need to get some more music.' I'll give him the intersection I'm at and he'll just ride down right then, pick up a beat CD and keep it moving. It's like a real dope deal. I really got crack! [Laughs] All our joints come that way. Even with [the album's street single] 'Lose My Mind,' I didn't hear that until we mixed it. So I can't tell you exactly what I've got on there yet, but in addition to "Lose My Mind," I'm gonna have two of three other joints on the album."
Earlier this year, Drumma talked about Jeezy and Gucci Mane calling a beef truce.
"Man I've been wanting to see all of us just be on one page, all of us reppin' one flag, all of us coming to together and putting all of this money together and locking it tight," he said in an interview. "It's a wrap from that point on. I mean, its always great to see two powerful brothers end some beef and come together to get more money. I mean imagine Jeezy and Gucci coming to your high school. Its all about the kids, its motivation and they are the number one motivators, so that's what it is."
Jeezy's new album is expected to come out next month.
The summer just got a little colder. The Snowman, better known as Young Jeezy, has finally announced a release date for his long-awaited album. The Atlanta rapper has claimed June 22 as the drop date for his fourth major label LP TM103, Rap-Up.com has learned. He will go up against Eminem's Recovery, Diddy-Dirty Money's Last Train to Paris, and labelmate The-Dream's Love King the same week.
He has also discussed what rap fans could expect to hear from the upcoming project earlier this year.
"But June, by the way," he said of the LP's release date. "That's what I'm thinking. If you the boss, you can talk like that. I'm thinking June. I wanna own the summer. If you coming out [with an album] in June, you might wanna think about that, bruh. TM103, I will be there...I'm just going in, basically handling my business. I gotta say what's on my mind. But I'm not here to sell you on no album. Like I said, June, you will be surprised, homie. That's real talk. I been working on this. I been back in the lab...I got you."
