T.I. Not Beefing W/ DJs On "F*ck A Mixtape", "It Got People Thinking, It Got People Talking"

Fresh off the release of his F*ck A Mixtape underground project, T.I. has made sure to inform fans that he is not trying to start a beef with mixtape deejays.

According to Tip, the mixtape gave him an outlet to unleash a string of free music.

"F--- a Mixtape, that's in no way a direct shot to a DJ. 'Cause for other people, [a mixtape] works wonders. It do what it's supposed to do," he added. "For me, I do what I need to do. That's a common knowledge around the industry. I got enough music to go around. I can drop a song a day three or five years straight and still be cool. But F--- a Mixtape, it got the response it was supposed to get. It got people thinking, it got people talking, and it generated a demand."

The underground project features guest spots from Jamie Foxx, Swizz Beatz, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and more.

Last month, DJ Drama confirmed Wayne's appearance on the new Gangsta Grillz release.

Without giving away too many details, Tip's longtime associate DJ Drama, confirmed with XXLMag.com that he will be hosting the tape, and fans, especially those from the King of the South's hometown, are sure to love the new songs. "He was doing his pushups and his situps, [and] now we about to have the streets in a frenzy," Dram said. "I'll just put it to you like this, Bankhead Zone One is gonna love this." Promising a lot of surprise guests, one rapper that the tightlipped DJ says will definitely appear on the tape is Lil Wayne.

Details on the mixtape began to circulate online in mid-April.

With his prison sentence finished as of March 26, T.I. is officially back and apparently looking to make a statement via the mixtape game. The ATL rapper could very well drop one of the better mixtapes of this year, as long as DJ Drama keeps the drops and shouting to a minimum. That might sound a little premature, but come on, we all heard the absolutely great "I'm Back." And the fact he's apparently returning to his grittier roots on his upcomingalbum should at least show that T.I.'s likely looking to kill it lyrically. Details remain up in the air on who will make a guest appearance F*ck A Mixtape, but I think we'll at least hear B.o.B spit a verse or two.
