Young Dro On 50 Cent Labeling T.I. A Snitch, "Everybody Got Their Little Sh*t To Say" [Video]
Grand Hustle's Young Dro has come to the defense of T.I. and addressed past accusations that his boss may have "snitched" in the past to receive a lighter jail sentence.
When asked about allegations from artists like 50 Cent, Dro said snitching was not in Tip's character.
"That's like my brother, I've known shawty for half my life," Dro said. "50 [Cent] mean, but Tip ain't never done nothing like that. As far as snitching though, my partner ain't nothing nowhere near that bullsh*t and n*ggas know what's up with our team. Everybody got their little sh*t to say about that but we know for a fact it ain't nothing [where] we gotta go around like 'He didn't do that, hey, you know he didn't do that,' it's evident you know what I'm saying? Shawty locked up in the jail right now -- he's ready to come home. He's ready to knock down the walls of Hollywood, make sure y'all know the movie Takers is on the way, you gotta know the boy on the way back home, you gotta know as far as all these false accusations -- on this side of Grand Hustle, we getting rich. We making the sh*t known, this sh*t goes further..."
On G-Unit's 2008 Terminate On Site album, 50 is assumed to be speaking on T.I.'s felony gun case on the track "You So Tough."
"Nowadays this rap sh*t ain't adding up/ How n*ggas get caught with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months?/Oo-weee, don't talk to me/ If you talking to him, you talking to them.../I got the best lawyers that money can buy/ they say at best they woulda got me 10 or maybe 9./I said, how do you explain how the homie breezed?/They said, you keep your mouth shut or you eat the cheese."
However, following the gossip, 50 later clarified the reference and said he did not have a beef with Tip.
"It's like 'CSI': You use real-life situations to create something that's entertaining without being specific," 50 said in a 2008 interview. "When have you known me to be indirect with an issue? If I had a problem with any artist, trust me, they would know. I take [that situation], and I write that because a lot of people think that. They're not saying it because they're cowardly people. When you write it and put it there and leave and say, 'Let me watch and see what happens.' There's so much controversy around it, and you didn't say anything. Then you go, 'See, they think that.' They just won't say it to him because they're a bunch of punks."
A rapper named Mysonne attacked the Grand Hustle camp Alfamega's government ties were revealed last year.
"You letting these n*ggas mislead people based on a facade," Mysonne explained in a video. "You telling 'em 'Yo, I'm out here getting money, I'm hustling, I'm a trap star, I'm doing this and that' and then you n*ggas f*ck with the police...There's a lot of these n*ggas that's informants. It's just that n*ggas ain't taking the time out to look into it. N*ggas ain't taking the time out, 'Oh now he's an informant, nobody knew.' Nobody knew this n*gga been an informant for all these years and nobody knew it? Nobody never said nothing and then all of a sudden you found this info out? Now it's beneficial to find this out because n*ggas wanna get sh*t shifted off them, now 'Oh, I'm kicking this n*gga out,' yeah, of course, now it makes sense. 'Oh wow, I don't f*ck with him.' Come on, I can't respect that. I don't respect a lot of this sh*t."
