B.o.B. Explains "Adventures Of Bobby Ray" Cover Art [Video]
Grand Hustle's B.o.B. has explained the cover art for his upcoming debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray.
While not trying to give out too many details, the Southern-based emcee said the artwork represents his "journey."
"Basically, the concept of the album cover is, I'm gonna give enough but I'm gonna leave it open for interpretation," B.o.B. explained promising to not take away from consumers' imaginations. "Of course I incorporated the four elements, earth, wind, fire and water, and it's an adventure. So I'm basically traveling through these elements during my adventure but even though, the elements are dangerous in themselves, but I still use it to my advantage, going through these elements. [The album] is done, finished. I'm done, it's like my homework's done...Lupe [Fiasco] is on it, T.I. is on it, I got a lot of outside production on it."
The cover art landed online earlier in the week through multiple music blogs.
Here's the official artwork to B.o.B.'s debut album, "The Adventures Of Bobby Ray," set to drop April 27th. It's hard to fathom the fact that he has a huge smash single (Nothin' On You) on his hands, he's been more on the underground scene for the longest. As a fan, I'm psyched to see what he brings with the album.
B.o.B. recently talked about his solo project moving from a May to April release date.
"'Fifth Dimension,' T.I. actually produced it, him and Lil C produced it from Grand Hustle so we got in the studio just playing around with some drums, loops and guitars and some asteroids and we made up 'Fifth Dimension,' and it's gonna, it's a banger," B.o.B. promised in an interview. "[My album,] it's definitely scheduled to come out April 27th, it was May 25th but [The Adventures of Bobby Ray] got pushed forward, which never happens, ever, I don't even recall that happening and if it does change, it'll only move forward again."
Last month, "Bobby Ray" broke the news of T.I. being behind the boards for the album.
"As far as production, T.I. actually produced some stuff on the album," B.o.B. said in an interview. "Jim Jonsin, Dr. Luke, me, it's a good combination...I actually worked with him as soon as he got out. He actually left and went straight to the studio apparently, so, I went in and worked with him some, we did some stuff for his album, my album. And you know, just really got in there to get in the vibe. Since he's been released, he seems more, he has something to prove now. I feel like he has a deeper fire to his whole approach, it has more motivation. He's a motivated person in general, but I feel he's got a lot more now."
