Faith Evans' Tax Records Leak Online, Singer Owes $360K
According to tax records R&B singer Faith Evans reportedly owes the government more than $360,000.
According to reports, the taxes date back to October 2008.
The IRS filed a $36,360 lien against Evans on March 4 with the New York City Register's office. The IRS filed a $119,821 lien against Evans on Feb. 16 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. The state of New Jersey filed a $204,000 lien against Evans on Oct. 30, 2008, with the New Jersey State Superior Court.
Last month, the singer was sued for over $1 million for unreleased Biggie Smalls videos.
It's all over private home videos of Christopher Wallace -- videos that a company called Kaushi Entertainment wanted to use in a documentary. In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court, Kaushi claims they struck a deal, approved by Faith Evans, in which they would fork over $30k for all of the movies. Kaushi claims they paid up -- but Faith Evans, along with several associates, never handed over the goods. Long story short -- Kaushi claims they got screwed and want more than $1,000,000 to make things right.
Despite her alleged Evans is working on a new reality show.
E1 Television, in partnership with Faith Evans and Ten2OneEntertainment, has developed a new reality series, "It's All About Faith," chronicling Evans' return to the music scene after a 5-year hiatus. Viewers will get a glimpse into her grind behind the music as Evans juggles a lively home life and resurgent career with her husband/manager Todd Russaw and their four children. Each episode will take you into the very real life of this superwoman as she shares her personal experiences in and out of the spotlight.
Both E1 Televison CEO John Morayniss and Evans have confirmed the partnership.
"Working with Faith on her new highly anticipated album and this compelling reality series is a perfect example of how E1 Entertainment is implementing its strategy of utilizing its three business pillars," Morayniss said in a statement. "2010 is shaping up to be an amazing year for me! To be in a place where I have grown from an entertainer to an entrepreneur is truly a blessing. I am excited to share this incredible experience with my fans and the world," Faith added.
No further details have been released as of now.
