DJ Khaled's "Victory" Projected To Sell 25K In Its First Week

DJ Khaled's new album, Victory, is reportedly en route to sell up to 25,000 copies in its opening week in retail stores.

Based on one-day estimates, Sade's Soldier of Love will once again dominate the charts.

Epic's Sade and Lady Antebellum are a toss-up for #1 on next week's chart based on one-day sales reports from all those retailers who haven't chucked it all and opened medical marijuana dispensaries. Now the question is if either one can break 100k and maintain the momentum. 40-45k is the same total earmarked for Jive/JLG's Raheem Devaughn, a $3.99 daily special on Amazon.com yesterday, for The Love and War Masterpeace. Mercury's country artist Easton Corbin look to be in the 35-40k range, followed by E1 rapper DJ Khaled (20-25k) and Verve's Jamie Cullum album, The Pursuit (12-15k).
Khaled's album has received support from his Terror Squad associate, Fat Joe.

"GO OUT AND SUPPORT MY BROTHER @therealdjkhaled HIS ALBUM IN STORES 2DAY!!!!!! Go GET IT!!!!CRACK!!!!," Joe wrote on Twitter Tuesday (March 2).
Rap mogul Diddy has also vouched for the Miami DJ's new record.

"DJKHALED VICTORY ALBUM IN STORES NOW! WE THE BEST MUSIC! GO GET YOUR COPY NOW! @therealdjkhaled"
The project was initially slated to feature Shyne's first record since being freed from jail last fall, but the track was taken off prior to its release.

"He fit me into his schedule and I appreciate it," Khaled said about Shyne. "The thing is, the record got leaked. Some hacker actually leaked it and it messed me up because when they leaked it, the publishers on the production of the track -- came at me and tried to come at me on some legal stuff so I couldn't even use it on my album. That's why I hate these hackers. They ruin surprises -- but at the end of the day, at least the streets got it and we fed the streets."
