Beyonce & Black Eyed Peas To Ignite Grammy Awards, Performances Announced


Grammy-winning artists Beyonce and The Black Eyed Peas have been chosen to perform at next month's Grammy Awards in California.

According to reports, country singer Taylor Swift has also been announced to sing.

Leading Grammy contenders Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift will be among the performers at the awards early next year. Nominations have already been announced, with Beyonce vying for 10 awards while Swift is up for eight. R&B singer Maxwell and country group Lady Antebellum, who are up for six and two awards respectively, have also been added to the bill.

Beyonce and Swift lead this year's annual ceremony with the most nods.

R&B singer Beyonce led the field of Grammy contenders with 10 nominations, followed by teen country sensation Taylor Swift with eight, organizers of the music industry's top awards said on Wednesday. Black Eyed Peas, R&B singer Maxwell and rapper Kanye West each had six nominations, with Lady Gaga and rapper Jay-Z getting five apiece.

The award nominees were announced during a ceremony earlier this month.

George Lopez may have been star struck by Smokey Robinson and Ringo Starr staring at him from ringside at Wednesday's The Grammy Nominations Concert Live: Countdown to Music's Biggest Night, but the comic and TV host still found the words to announce the nominations for Song of the Year. And they would be Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," Maxwell's "Pretty Wings," Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" and Taylor Swift's "You Belong to Me."

Rappers like Eminem and Common are also up for awards.
