Waka Flocka Flame Released From Jail


Southern rapper Waka Flocka Flame was reportedly released from jail last night after being picked up on a probation violation earlier this week.

According to reports, the rapper was jailed for roughly 48 hours.

Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, had been taken into custody Tuesday for violating probation. He had previously been convicted of possession of a sawed-off shotgun. It was not immediately known what the probation violation had been, or why he had been released. Malphurs, 23, was released Thursday evening from the jail, just in time for a performance tonight in Gainesville, Fla.

The arrest reportedly took place Tuesday (March 16) afternoon.

The rapper Waka Flocka Flame is being held in the Houston County Jail on a probation violation. Jail officials confirmed that Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, was arrested by the Houston County Sheriff's Office and is being held on a probation violation. He was taken into custody on Tuesday. The nature of the probation violation was unknown Wednesday.
The terms of his arrest were not initially known, although speculation began to develop.

Gucci Mane affiliate Waka Flocka Flame arrested yesterday in Houston for probation violation. Reasons for the arrest are unknown, but Waka Flocka Flame originally recieved probation for possessing a sawed off shotgun.
He was previously involved in a near-fatal shooting earlier this year.

Malphurs, who has a recent mix tape entitled "Salute Me or Shoot Me, Vol. 2," was shot in the arm at the Bubble Bath Car Wash on Old National Highway in January. The shooting occurred after a scuffle broke out when an armed man approached him demanding jewelry, police said at the time.
No further details have been released as of now.
