Ludacris Not Rushing "Ludaversal" Album, "You'll Probably Have It At The End Of 2010"

Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris has updated fans on the status of his forthcoming Ludaversal album and said that the solo project could be delayed until 2011.

Luda offered a projected release and talked about a potential role in the upcoming Fast and Furious 5 film.

"It's not confirmed as of yet. I'm still waiting on a script, but I've been told that they're working on all of that," he said about the movie. "Details are sketchy but its called Ludaversal. You'll probably have it at the end of 2010 or somewhere at the beginning of 2011."
Last summer, Luda cleared up rumors surrounding the upcoming album's title.

"It must be the biggest rumor in the world," Luda said about his next album being called Cineplex. "It's just really frustrating when somebody puts a rumor out and everyone goes with it. I never remotely said anything about something called Cineplex. Dead that sh*t. It's Ludaversal. That's what comes after Battle of the Sexes."
The rapper is currently celebrating the success of his latest number one album, Battle of the Sexes.

Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris' Battle of the Sexes made its way onto the charts this week opening at No. 1. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the Southern emcee's compilation disc has sold 137,300 records after seven days in stores.

Based on weekend reports, the album will not debut atop the charts this week.

Lady Antebellum will regain the #1 spot on next week's chart with a total in the 90-95k range, marking the first time this year that the #1 album has sold less than 100k. Marvin Sapp (Verity/JLG) 70-75k Ludacris (DTP/Def Jam/IDJ) 55-60k The Edge (Razor & Tie) 50-55k (Note: This will be mostly direct-to-consumer sales that we were unaware of yesterday.)
