Ludacris' "Battle of the Sexes" Projected To Sell 120K In First Week Sales

Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris' Battle of the Sexes album is reportedly en route to sell up to 125,000 copies next week.

Based on one-day estimates, the Disturbin' Tha Peace leader will dominate his competition.

Riding high on hit collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber and labelmate Taio Cruz (the #1 download, "Break Your Heart"), the DTP/Def Jam/IDJ hip-hop superstar-turned-actor will debut at #1 next Tuesday, with approximately 120k in sales for his latest, Battle of the Sexes. The album boasts current hit singles "How Low" and "My Chick Bad," the latter featuring Minaj. His seventh studio album also includes cameos from Shawnna, Lil Scrappy, Trey Songz, Lil' Kim, Gucci Mane, Monica and Ne-Yo, among others.
The rapper recently spoke on his album's importance for women.

"It's such a male-dominated industry that I feel like females need more of a voice, so we wanted to hear more of what the hell they had to say," Luda said in an interview. "With that being said, I went out and got women from the past, the present and the future -- everyone from Lil Kim, Eve, Trina, Nicki Minaj. I got records where I'm talking about women ... and where women are talking back to me."

The project features multiple collaborations from artists including Lil Scrappy and Gucci Mane.
