Fabolous & DJ Drama Say "There Is No Competition 2" Drops Today

New York rapper Fabolous and DJ Drama have promised to release the There Is No Competition 2 mixtape today (March 4) after over two months of delays.

Writing via Twitter, Fab promised the underground record would arrive on Thursday.

"Fabolous & Dj Drama #TINC2 - The Funeral Service -- Tomorrow!http://livemixtap.es/tinc2 24 hrs til release..There Is No Competition 2!," Fab wrote Wednesday evening.
Yesterday, Drama also said music from Fab would drop today.

"Next couple days gonna be nice to rap game. Fab sh*t 2morro," Drama wrote Wednesday night, "drake friday, tip monday. Niiice."
Fabolous previously said the mixtape would come out last month.

"The mixtape is coming at the end of this week," Fab told radiohost Angie Martinez. "It was supposed to have came and I gave a date but people have been killing me but I really wanted to make sure I put good material on it and now people started coming. I just got a verse from Nicki Minaj, I got something from Trey Songz, Jadakiss, so I added a couple things and people should just [be patient.] This could possibly have been an album -- but it's over other people's beats, too. Some of it is original joints but some is over, I did 'Say Something,' I did 'All The Way Turnt Up,' I did the Waka Flocka beat, few joints and then a few originals, mixed it up."
He also explained why his return to the mixtape game was sparked by artists like Cam'ron, Drake and Lil Wayne.

"I had stopped doing the mixtapes because I felt we lost that," he added. "Between DJs slopping together tapes just to make tapes and some artists really just putting two or three [new] songstogether and a bunch of old songs and throwing a mixtape out. Certain DJs making unofficial tapes where they are just grabbing leaked stuff or taking stuff and putting it over other beats. I thought the game got saturated, but in '09 and recently at the top of '10, you seen Cam drop joints. Wayne dropped a joint, of course, Drake's mixtape being infamous for being one of the best ones for '09. It put the fuel back in me to do the mixtape thing. I was focused on a whole 'nother agenda. Just having so many shows took my mind off of it."
