Fabolous Addresses NYC Club Shooting, "Life Is Not Promised"

Rapper Fabolous has addressed the fatal shooting of up-and-coming Brooklyn, New York emcee Gregory "GBaby" Brown who was killed following his Friday (March 12) concert in the Big Apple.

Writing via Twitter, Fab publicly revealed his regards to the Brown family.

"Life is not Promised.. Live Life to the fullest, & like there is no 2moro.. Lost a soldier in the field this morning.. R.I.P. G Baby," Fab wrote on Saturday.

A source initially informed SOHH of the rapper's fatal shooting.

"He was murdered last night at a Fabolous show in Jamaica, Queens," a source informed SOHH. "[It was] his show for Metro PCS/Hot 97. His name was Gregory 'G-Baby' Brown from Brooklyn, New York."

The fatal shooting took place in a location recently subjected to violence.

There has been a wave of violence in Jamaica and Hollis, Queens and the surrounding areas, as many young people have been killed in the past few years. Kevin Miller, a thirteen year old, was killed in October, when he was walking home from school and shot in the back of the head, from a stray bullet.

G-Unit's Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo paid homage to the rapper on their Twitter accounts following his passing.

"R.I.P to the homie G BABY," Banks wrote early Saturday morning. This was then followed by Yayo who Tweeted, "On to the next 1. Copenhagen Denmark. RIP 2 G Baby. . ."
