T.I. Pays Homage To Lil Wayne At Welcome Home Party, "Everybody Please Raise Your Glasses"

Grammy-winning rapper T.I. celebrated his return from prison by throwing a star-studded party in Los Angeles, California this week.

T.I. took the time to pay homage to incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne.

T.I.'s welcome-home party was nothing short of epic - the infamous rapper was feted by the likes of Jamie Foxx, Usher and Diddy at L.A. hot spot Guys and Dolls on Sunday night, and the evening turned into a toast to the singer's future. Others on hand to welcome T.I. back on the scene included Lil' Kim, rapper Rick Ross and Amber Rose, who arrived sans Kanye West and almost sans clothing - she wore nothing but a nude leotard. "I'm so happy to be with all of you tonight," he said. "And I cannot thank you enough for being here." Not just for T.I.: The rapper took some of the spotlight off himself when he asked the room to acknowledge another wayward star. "There are still people in the hip-hop community that need our support," he said. "So I ask everybody to please raise your glasses for Lil Wayne."

Wayne was sentenced to a year behind bars last month.

Lil Wayne has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty in a New York City gun case. The Grammy Award-winning rapper was taken away in handcuffs to start serving his term immediately after his sentencing. He'll serve his sentence in city jails, not a state prison. He could be released in about eight months with good behavior.
Since he was released this year, the rapper is expected to marry long-time girlfriend Tiny Cottle.

"There are wedding plans coming soon, sometime this year," she said in an interview. "Not too big 'cause I want it to be as private as possible. There've been a million rumors about us getting married. It's taking away from the day that we really do get married so I just want to kind of have that moment for myself. I don't really worry about what people say about what's taking so long. like, it ain't none of your business what's taking so long. If we happy, why are you so concerned? We living, we're happy, we're in love. I mean, it's no doubt in my mind that he doesn't love every piece of me and vice versa so we're just doing what's comfortable and what works for us. Tiny and T.I.: Not for the world. When we get ready to make a move, we will make it. We just can't do it for everybody."
He is also working on his solo album called King Uncaged.

T.I. is setting the bar high for his post-prison album, King Uncaged, comparing it to Tupac's 1996 classic All Eyez on Me, which was released months after 'Pac got out of prison. "This is the most significant return from incarceration that the game has had since then," T.I. says. "Just given the enormous success of that project, everyone's expecting the same results. I just want to meet the expectations, if not surpass them."
