Fans of late rap pioneer Guru have come together to launch a new website called "F*ckSolar.com" aimed at exposing the emcee's producer/partner.

Based on the site's profile, documents and facts will be used to expose Solar.

We started this website because we believe that there is one place for "Superproducer" Solar, and that is jail. We are not going to sleep, rest or eat till Guru gets the proper respect he deserves. Solar is tarnishing Guru's legacy, and we ain't going to let that happen! Solar, you better start praying, because we are going to follow every step you make. Why we are doing this? For the love of hiphop, for the great music he blessed us with.....But most of all, for Guru. We are ready for war. Are you? The site also publishes daily posts from multiple outlets going after Solar's reputation.

"Many people asked me to actually do this and I come clean, I didn't really enjoy writing this. However, the truth has to be written to the public. The people who wrote me asked for my help. About the whole Solar Guru situation... We should have known people. We should have known this would come this far. Superproducer Solar is a manipulator of the highest degree and loves to control people. I really hate making a post on DJ Premier Blog about Solar, I even promised last year not to mention Guru ever again (because I saw no ending with that Solar dude)."
Following Guru's passing last week, Solar denied claims of being romantically linked to the late emcee.

"That's untrue, completely unfounded," he said. "Guru is a familyman, I'm a family man. I don't want to say anything against anybody living a certain type of lifestyle -- everybody is free to live their life how they choose to live it -- but that's not my lifestyle or Guru's lifestyle. We're straight men. He dealt with women and family. I dealt with women and family. There's never been any blurring of the lines whatsoever."
In addition to Guru's estranged family, Gang Starr's DJ Premier also blasted Solar over his mistreatment of the rapper while hospitalized.

"If you love him, and you're taking care of him, why the f**k did his nails look longer than a f*cking ruler?!" Premier accused during a Sirius broadcast. "[And] a clump Afro?! I've taken care of people in the hospital [before]. You can wash their hair and cleantheir nails off. DJ Premier Blasts Solar Over Guru's Health Decline, "Why The F*ck Did His Nails Look Longer Than A F*cking Ruler!?" [Video]

Gang Starr's DJ Premier has broken his silence on his issues with Guru's producer/partner Solar and revealed the shocking final visit he had with the late rapper.

According to Premo, Solar failed to look after and care for Guru while in a coma.

"If you love him, and you're taking care of him, why the f**k did his nails look longer than a f*cking ruler?!" Premier accused during a Sirius broadcast. "[And] a clump Afro?! I've taken care of people in the hospital [before]. You can wash their hair and clean their nails off. His feet were swollen and his toenails were really disgusting...I took the logo on my shirt and rubbed it against his whole body and told him a message from me about how much I loved him, and that we were for life and still were for life. Prior to speaking on Solar, Preem said he would resist talking about Guru's alleged final letter.

Guru's brother, Harry Elam, recently inked an editorial piece speaking on his condition.

"My brother Keith Elam, the hip-hop artist known as GURU--Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal--died this week at the too-young age of 48 because of complications from cancer. 'Positivity' was what he sought to bring to the music and to his life, and for me that will be a large part of his legacy," he wrote. "In February of this year, my brother went into a coma, and I traveled across the country from my home in California to see him. At his bedside, I stood and stared at his overly frail frame, his head that he had kept clean-shaven for the last 20 years uncommonly covered with hair, hisbody connected to a sea of tubes and wires. I listened to the whirl of machines around us and took his hand. As I did, my mind flashed back to now-distant times, so many memories..."
Predicting his death, Guru allegedly prepared a letter addressing his legacy.

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world," he wrote. "I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. Guru's Brother Speaks, "Positivity Was What He Sought To Bring To The Music & To His Life"

Late rapper Guru's brother, Standford professor Harry Elam, has ended his silence on the rap veteran's passing.

Harry Elam confirmed Guru went into a coma last February and detailed his bedside condition.

"My brother Keith Elam, the hip-hop artist known as GURU--Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal--died this week at the too-young age of 48 because of complications from cancer. 'Positivity' was what he sought to bring to the music and to his life, and for me that will be a large part of his legacy," he wrote. Accrued complications from this illness led to respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. As a result, GURU was in a coma from mid February until his death and never regained consciousness. Early on the morning of April 19th, he became hypertensive due to low blood pressure. He again went into cardiac arrest and slipped away from us. GURU died far too young but he was, and we are, proud of all his many legendary musical contributions. The family is not aware of any foundations established by GURU. We know and understand that countless fans want to express their condolences and love and, to that end, we are planning a memorial event in the near future that will be all-inclusive. Game Remembers Guru, Clarifies Alchemist “400 Bars” Remarks

This evening, HipHopDX spoke to Game. The Aftermath/Black Wall Street emcee is widely known for helping preserve the legacy of late N.W.A. founder Eric “Eazy E” Wright through songs, interviews and tattoos. Additionally, Game has spoken and rhymed about the losses of Tupac Shakur and Jam Master Jay.

Just hours after the announcement was made of Gang Starr emcee Guru’s tragic death to cancer, Game briefly commented about the legendary ’80s, ’90s and ’00s emcee.

“That’s an ugly situation, man. I’ll say a couple quick words, and then we can keep it movin’,” began the Compton, California superstar. “Anytime [tragedy] springs up on you, out of nowhere, it hurts. The fact that it’s Guru, and I knew nothing about it – or his sickness [to begin with] – some people knew that he was sick, and others had no idea. I’m one of those people that didn’t know. So the only thing I can do is mourn like the rest of us and send his family my condolences and wish him well on his journey to Heaven.”

On his forthcoming R.E.D. album, due this June, Game was initially hoping to work with Guru’s former partner, DJ Premier. While new reports have said that the collaboration remains undone, Game was briefly label-mates with Gang Starr Foundation associates M.O.P. during both’s tenures at G-Unit Records.

In the interview, which will be published on DX throughout the rest of April, Game also spoke on last weekend’s Twitter dispute with producer/emcee The Alchemist. After listening to Game’s “400 Bars” freestyle, released last week, Alchemist (@AlanTheChemist) criticized the 20 minute ode as a “snooze.” Game responded with threats towards his former collaborator on Twitter. While Alchemist later reminded press that the two collaborated alongside Prodigy on his 2004 album, 1st Infantry, Game explained his bothered reaction to the hit-maker for Cam’ron, Raekwon and Dilated Peoples.

“You might think I’m just layin’ dormant, but I watch,” said Game of his @IHateGame Twitter account. “I wasn’t even following Alan [on Twitter]. You know how sometimes [things said about you] just pop up on your [Twitter] timeline? It just so happens that something made that pop up.”

The emcee says that his Twitterfeed made him aware of Al’s quick remark to “400 Bars.”

“I read it and I’m like, ‘Well, why would he say that? I know it’s his opinion and whatnot, but I think that I know [Alchemist] good enough, and he knows me good enough to where he knows God-damned well that that freestyle [as '400 Bars'] is a problem.” Defending his freestyle and his abilities, Game said, “Let’s just say that even if I didn’t keep your attention, I still rapped for 20 minutes straight. Don’t disrespect my craft, man. That’s all I was on.”

Clarifying, Game added, “My first comment [was really me saying] ‘Come on Al, you know you wouldn’t say that to my face. You wouldn’t tell me that. So you’re gonna do it over the Internet and throw a rock then hide your hands? So that was that day. I ain’t really trippin’ on Alan, man.”

Rap mogul Russell Simmons paid his respects to the rapper's memory.

"Legendary Gangstarr artist Guru has succumbed to cancer after a lengthy bout with the disease. U are here to achieve lasting happiness Enjoy ur time here . During ur time here u will be forced to recognize that sweet inspiring uplifting things outweigh small heavy toxic things Guru was a sweet inspiring uplifting person.. rip// rest in perfection Guru. Thanx for the inspiration."
Prior to passing from cancer, Guru allegedly wrote a final letter to fans and family.

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world," he wrote. "I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options...My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own. I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ..."

Gang Starr's Guru Passes Away After Battle With Cancer

Gang Starr's Guru has passed away at the age of 43 after being hospitalized for nearly two months and a fight with cancer.

Reports suggest he died sometime Monday (April 19) morning.

Gang Starr rapper Guru has died following a battle with cancer, it's been reported. The MC, real name Keith Elam, is understood to have passed away on Monday (April 19). He was 43.
Predicting his death, Guru prepared a letter addressing his legacy.

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world," he wrote. "I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options...My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. Guru's producer, Solar, also inked a letter explaining the situation.

"The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar said in a statement. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius."
The rapper is most known for his Gang Starr records and being a rap veteran.

Guru became famous after teaming up with DJ Premier in group Gang Starr. The duo released six studio albums between 1989 and 2003 and became famous for making "conscious rap" before splitting under acrimonious circumstances. Since then Guru had released a series of 'Jazzmataz' albums where he teamed up with classic jazz, soul and hip hop artists. He also continued to tour the world with a band and producer Solar.
