New details in The-Dream’s split from Christina Milian have been uncovered. Documents reveal that the hitmaker sought a divorce nine days before his wife gave birth to their daughter.

The-Dream filed paperwork in Georgia on February 17, claiming the marriage was “irretrievably broken,” reports TMZ. In the divorce documents, The-Dream declares, “There is no hope for reconciliation.”

The “Single Ladies” songwriter announced his separation from Milian earlier this month, saying they had been separated since last year. “The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet,” his rep told UsMagazine.com. “They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”

Milian and The-Dream wed on September 4, 2009, and welcomed their only child Violet on February 26. Despite the break up, Milian has been seen wearing her wedding ring in public.

R&B singer The-Dream, who is currently married to Christina Milian, was spotted over the weekend frolicking on the beach with another woman.

A representative for The-Dream confirmed the couple's separation.

Christina Milian and The-Dream have decided to separate, his rep confirms to UsMagazine.com. "Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward," his rep tells Us.

Racy photos of the R&B singer and his alleged assistant, Melissa Santiago, recently appeared online.

The-Dream spent his weekend in the arms of a woman other than his wife Christina Milian. The singer-songwriter was seen getting friendly with a mystery woman on the beaches of the Caribbean without his wife or wedding ring. Milian, who gave birth to the couple's daughter Violet in February, didn't address the photos directly, but she did tweet earlier this morning: "WHATEVER YOU THINK.. BELIEVE IT." It wasn't long ago that The-Dream and Christina were spotted enjoying their own island vacation together.

R&B singer The-Dream has said he would not mind if his wife/singer, Christina Millian, wanted to perform a nude artistic video like Erykah Badu's controversial "Window Seat."

According to Dream, people tend to be insecure about anything outside of the norm.

"I'd be like 'Go ahead,'" Dream said referring to his approval. "It's all artistic expression. If we lived in Africa, our a**es would be out all the time. We're conditioned people, so our minds are in such a crazy position. Someone told will.i.am on the radio, 'Man you curse on your records. I can't take my kids to your concert.' And he was like, 'What you talking 'bout? Everybody curse.' Which I thought was funny because, yeah you could bleep it out, but all you're saying is you know it's bad and you're just trying to hide the word, when everyone knows what it is."
