Nicki Minaj's Young Money Debut Release Date Confirmed

The release date for Nicki Minaj's upcoming Young Money debut has been confirmed by representatives from Cash Money/Young Money.

According to the label, Minaj's debut will drop in late November.

Barbie fans across the world can rejoice. Nicki Minaj's as-yet-untitled debut album will officially hit stores on November 23. The news comes just four days after the Jamaica, Queens rapper took to her twitter account to alert fans about the special day. "Yes. It's time. November 23rd," she wrote last Thursday afternoon. At the time, XXLMag.com spoke to reps for her label at Young Money/Cash Money, and they couldn't confirm the date. But today, they informed us that the date is indeed set in stone.

Last week, Minaj tweeted "November 23" on her Twitter page which sparked speculation of a release date.

Nicki Minaj is everywhere, except on her own album. But that's about to change because the breakout star's debut finally has an official release date. Young Money's First Lady will release her as-yet-untitled album during the week of Thanksgiving, known to be the busiest shopping week of the year in the U.S. "Yes. It's time. November 23rd," she told her followers on Twitter.

Beatz recently talked about working in the studio with Minaj on her debut.

"There's no blockage in what we can do on the creative tip. It's a blank canvas. We respect each other. I respect her, she respects me, and she trusts my judgment. We have a lot of small conversations that end up [turning] into big musical moments. When you hear Nicki on my track, you're gonna see that 'Wow, she just went from here to there.' I'm happy to be a part of that...As far as Nicki, she's an amazing write. She wrote her own choruses, and she's doing some amazing things on the choruses. The third song, the last song [we recorded together], is the only song I did the chorus on, and she might even switch that...I'm not really trying to be on every chorus like that no more."

Last month, she talked about making futuristic sounds for her debut with the help of Beatz.

"He definitely expressed interest in an interview one time," Nicki told radio host Jenny Boom Boom. "I was excited because I was like, 'Swizz Beatz, I love his style.' And as a matter of fact, we got some sh*t...It's one song called 'Catch Me' that will definitely make the album and it's a masterpiece from me and Swizz. It's a little singing, a little rapping, but it's like a different vibe. It's a moody vibe. It's just dope. And the beat sounds really futuristic, but it's mellow futuristic. It puts you in this weird...like you're high type sh*t, even though I don't get high and I never have."

An album title has still not yet been revealed.
