SOHH hit up Sean Garrett to find out if there is any truth to the rumors about him signing a deal with Cash Money/Young Money.

According to Sean G., he is in the final process of securing a deal with Baby and Lil Wayne's labels, however, he did not specify the terms.
"It's very, very, very close man," Sean told SOHH about inking a deal with Cash Money/Young Money. "You gotta understand, I already got money, Cash Money has much, much, much money. Young Money also has much, much money. Oh and 'Free Weezy,' you know what I'm saying? It's just, we had to make sure that, well, there's a lot that's coming together there. And I really have a lot of respect and honor the way that system was built so we just had to make sure that everything was a go but from all aspects and you know, I'm excited. It's gonna be tremendous but the ink is almost dry. [laughs]"
Speculation on Garrett's Young Money ties became more vivid after helping produce Nicki Minaj's "Massive Attack" earlier this year and working alongside the Young Money camp.
The hitmaker, nicknamed "The Pen," has enlisted Young Money's First Lady Nicki Minaj for his new single "Get It All" from his forthcoming U.S. debut album. When asked whether he'll be taking his relationship with Lil Wayne's label one step further, he replied, "It's in the sky. You just look up and watch the stars line up."
Last month, Garrett also hinted at joining a popular label during an interview.
"What's so exciting about working on an album is you really get a chance to express yourself in a different way than you did for other people. And at the same time, you really have to push yourself really, really hard. Once we make my announcement next week about where I'm signing, I have to go really hard because the team that I'm actually signing with is already popping."
The producer has a handful of hits to his name for artists like Usher and Beyonce.
Sean Garrett is an R&B singer, songwriter, and producer from Atlanta credited with penning smash hits for Beyoncé, Usher, Fergie, and Ciara, among many other superstars. Born Garrett Hamler in Atlanta, GA, he first established himself as a hitmaking songwriter in 2004, the year he wrote the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping hits "Yeah!" (by Usher) and "Goodies" (by Ciara), plus the Top Three smash "Soldier" (by Destiny's Child).
