Estelle On Kanye West's Comeback, "He Speaks The Absolute Truth, No Editing Or Tailoring"

R&B singer Estelle recently shared her thoughts on Kanye West making a rap comeback and said his ability to say what is on his mind will be his greatest asset.

Speaking on her "American Boy" collaborator, Estelle also gave her opinion of West's controversial MTV Video Music Awards incident with Taylor Swift last fall.

"I was surprised by the amount of crap he got. It was like, do you know this guy? Come on now everyone, stop being surprised," said Estelle, who collaborated with West on the single "American Boy." "I don't think he will have any problems coming back. He speaks the absolute truth, no editing or tailoring. I thinks that's why every time he comes back everyone is really excited."

Chicago rapper Kid Sister recently talked about Ye's return to hip-hop.

"I didn't really care about it, I thought it was kind of funny actually," Sister said when asked about her reaction to Ye's actions. "Come on, everyone makes silly decisions. It was a silly decision and that was the extent of it. I think the music speaks louder than anything, so as long as you make really good, visionary, forward-thinking music then it doesn't matter what you do. I mean, he's not Chris Brown! I think he's all right."

Recently, Chicago rapper Rhymefest also addressed critics attacking West's character.

"The crazy thing is people hate you, then when you put another album out they like you again," he said in an interview last month. "I think that we as a people are so force-fed by corporations that we don't know what we want. Yeah, people were mad at Kanye last year, but they're also looking forward to him putting another album out. Soon as the album drops they are going to forget why they were mad in the first place. I think people love Kanye because he speaks his mind and there ain't that many Black men that do that and why we are on it, n*ggas need to stop fronting like that White girl deserved that award. They knew what he was saying and need to cut it out, for real."

R&B singer Ne-Yo hit up SOHH earlier this month and gave his reaction to his Def Jam labelmate's new "Power" record.

"I feel like Kanye is one of the smartest dudes in the musicbusiness," Ne-Yo told SOHH. "And I say that to anybody. He caught a little bit of flack behind that Taylor Swift situation or whatever and so he moved away from it, let the fire die down and came back with something undeniable. That 'Power' record is ridiculous to me and he's back on his thing, he's talking sh*t and that's what Kanye do. It's one of those records that you hear one time and you're like, 'Yeah, Kanye's back.' I feel like the summer is about to be something crazy."
