In an interview with radio host Bootleg Kev, Nas confirmed his marriage was over and showed his covered tattoo.

"Oh my god, ladies I'm single. [laughs]...I was going through it." Nas' tattoo originally showed Kelis topless with jeans on and now, however, the tattoo still rests next to his daughter's name, Destiny, but has a lion/bear's head on top of her body. There is no further word on whether or not Nas plans to cover the rest of her body.

Last month, Nas said he did not have any immediate intention of removing the tattoo.

He tells Vibe magazine, "No words about any tattoos came from me this year or last year. So I don't know what that is." And he reveals he's never contemplated having his skin art altered - unless he's expanding his collection. He adds, "I don't really think about tattoos, I just think about adding more."

The tattoo was previously used as a diss lyric on 50 Cent's 2005 "Piggy Bank" track.

Kelis said her milkshake bring all the boys to the yard, then Nas went, and tattooed the b*tch on his arm." -50 Cent While the idea may sound rather sentimental and come off as a nice gesture, too many have had to learn the hard way that tattooing the names of their significant others is never the best option to scar their body with.

Nas and Kelis officially parted ways last month after being married nearly five years.

Power couple Nas and Kelis announced that they were calling it quicks back in April 2009 despite being pregnant with their first son together. Since then they have gone through a nasty legal battle over child support and child custody. Finally, a little over a year later, the marriage has officially come to a close. According to TMZ, the divorce has become official, however the issues of child custody and support still remain. Right now Nas has to pay around $10,000 a month, which is a fee that he claims is too much for him. How long can they possibly draw this thing out?
