Wu-Tang Clan, Slick Rick, Rakim & More To Invade Rock The Bells 2010 Tour

The Wu-Tang Clan, Slick Rick, Rakim and more have been named as headlining acts for the 7th annual Rock The Bells summer tour.

A listing of billed performers was released on the Internet today (May 25).

Yelawolf * Big Sean * Supernatural * Street Sweeper Social Club * Brother Ali * Jedi Mind Tricks * DJ Muggs w/ Ill Bill * Immortal Technique * Clipse * Wiz Khalifa * Murs & 9th Wonder * Slick Rick * KRS-One * Rakim * Wu-Tang Clan

Select artists will be performing their most renowned albums this year.

- Don't believe the hype. Yesterday, URB.com reported that R&B recluse Lauryn Hill would headline this summer's Rock the Bells tour, performing her 1999 masterpiece "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" in its entirety. Scratch that. Today, the magazine blames "leaked information," but does claim that other artists will be performing their classic albums on this summer's hip-hop mega-tour. According to URB,Slick Rick will perform "the Great Adventures of Slick Rick," Krs-Onewill revisit "Criminal Minded," Rakim will perform "Paid In Full," and theWu-Tang Clan will perform "Enter the 36 Chambers." That's cool, but it's no L Boogie.

As of now, this year's event will feature four performance dates.

The only issue is that so far they have released just four dates, with the shows being held in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Washington, D.C. But like years past, it's possible the festival will make its way to smaller cities, such as Boston (*crosses fingers*).

Last year's tour was headlined by Nas, Common and The Roots.

Rock the Bells 2009 performances by KRS-One, House of Pain, Reflection Eternal, Damian Marley, Tech N9ne, K'Naan, RZA, Big Boi, La Coka Nostra, Slaughterhouse, M.O.P., Slum Village, Buckshot, Evidence, Alchemist and more. It will be hosted by KRS-One, Supernatural, Murs and Pete Rock. Additonal artists to be announced. The North American portion of the tour will run from June 27 to August 9.
