Southern rapper Trina recently discussed her relationship with Diddy and divulged how much of an impact he had on her new album, Amazin'.
Trina said the rap mogul stole the show when he came through to collaborate on her "Million Dollar Girl" music video.
"I was just recording the record and I got a call that Diddy had heard the beat, and loved it so he wanted to jump on the song," she explained in an interview. "There wasn't even any hesitation from my part because he is someone I respect and admire. I look up to him from a business aspect. He's done such a great job in this industry and it was just an honor to have him on the record. It was also an honor to have him be apart of the video, 'cause everyone was kind of shook like, 'Wow, that's Diddy, he's iconic!' When he came on set he was just so humble and full of energy. He said a prayer and was like, 'The cameras are on, let's get busy.' It was like being in class. His energy just boosted my energy. On the video set everything just went amazing. I was ecstatic at how everything went down and it just came together so beautiful."
Last February, Diddy said he recruited Trina to be a Ciroc Vodka partner.
"Things are gonna be real big," Diddy said about Trina. "She's an official Ciroc girl...Ciroc is gonna be promoting her album, she's gonna be helping us, we gonna be doing it together. We got a new partnership that we rocking with but most importantly, the record and a video is off the chain...You gonna see us performing the joint live, too. She's gonna have the full-length chinchilla and just be buckey-naked with some stickies on. You know what I'm saying, because the body is thorough. Believe that, she's in the gym!"
He has also worked with artists like Game and Jadakiss to help promote Circoc.
"It's a big, big, big, big day tomorrow," Diddy said in a video last year with Jada. "Tomorrow this comes out right here, The Last Kiss. You gotsa have that. We just did deal we just probably sponsored a tour, some of thevideos everything else. The family is back together."
Trina's new album marks her first solo project in two years.
In April of 2008, Trina released her 4th studio album entitled "Still Da Baddest". The album upon release was # 1 on Billboard Rap Albums, # 1 on Billboard Hip-Hop/ R&B charts and #6 on the Billboard Top 200, charts. The rap star was also recently nominated at the 2008 BET Awards. Trina's 5th studio album entitled "Amazin'" will feature artist such as Diddy, Keri Hilson, Monica, Flo- Rida , Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and more.
