Diddy To Take Over MTV Movie Awards, Headlines Annual Showcase

Actor/Rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs has reportedly been chosen to headline the MTV Movie Awards next month.

The rap mogul will be one of the ceremony's award presenters.

Tom Cruise and his Knight and Day costar Cameron Diaz are among the first presenters announced for this year's MTV Movie Awards. The actors will be joined on the starry telecast by Diddy, who is also a confirmed presenter. This year's MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Aziz Ansari and will air live on June 6 at 9 p.m. EST.
This year's event will also cater to new awards categories.

There will be new categories for fans to vote in this year, according to People. "Biggest Bad-A** Star," "Best Scared-As-Sh*t Performance" and "Global Superstar" have been added to the mix of categories. And international fans now have the opportunity to vote using their local MTV Web sites. Voting begins May 12, and runs through June 5.
Diddy also stars in an upcoming comedy film called Get Him to the Greek.

The movie centers on Russell Brand's outrageous character from Marshall, the out-of-control British rock star "Aldous Snow," and "Aaron," a music-company intern, who must accompany "Snow" to a concert at L.A.'s Greek Theater. Elisabeth Moss is set to play "Daphne Binks," Aaron's girlfriend, while Rose Byrne will be a promiscuous pop musician named "Jackie Q," who may perform a duet with Snow. Combs has been cast as "Sergio," the head of the entertainment company for which Jonah Hill's character works.
Last year's Movie Awards drew attention after Eminem and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen staged a stunt.

Eminem apparently has flown the coop from the MTV Movie Awards after a close encounter with Sacha Baron Cohen when, in character as flamboyant fashion reporter "Bruno," Baron Cohen flew in above Sunday's award show audience on a wire and in a pair of feathery white wings and his rear end mostly exposed. But the comedian crashed into an overhead obstacle, and he was lowered into the audience, right into Eminem's lap, his bare hindquarters in the rapper's face. Eminem seemed visibly upset at the mishap. Or was it a joke he was in on? The rapper stormed out with his entourage in tow with cameras rolling.
